Knorr-Bremse sites support a variety of activities and social or cultural institutions.

In Munich, various sports clubs, kindergartens, schools and charitable and cultural institutions in the immediate vicinity of its Moosacher Strasse headquarters are supported. For many years the company has also sponsored the traditional tennis tournament at the Iphitos Tennis Club and it is also a main sponsor of the German Museum’s “Zukunftsinitiative” project.

In the vicinity of its Aldersbach plant, the company has funded partial renovation of a monastery church and has also provided financial support for the “European Culture Weeks” in Passau for many years. The Berlin site annually supports a partner school in Hellersdorf as well as funding social projects such as a bicycle repair shop in Marzahn that serves as a training center for socially disadvantaged young people.

The company also supports truck races and truck teams, and a design competition – Formula Student – in which students from all over the world compete to design their own vehicles and race them against each other on the Hockenheimring racetrack.
